AN HARD-ON FOR WEAK PEDALS

As someone asked me, this is the layout of the SHO booster I put inside the Blue Box on my previous tutorial.
The gain is always on full since it's minded to stay in place of the last cap of your pedal, just before the volume knob.
Have fun!

TUTORIAL: BOOST YOUR BLUE BOX !

So I had the chance to mod a Blue Box, as everyone knows this pedal is cool as hell but it has a very low output wich makes it unplayable in a band context..
There's already a popoular mod called the "C11mod", wich is known to bring the volume up a bit  restoring some hi-end that C11 shuts down.
The fact is that's not enough if you want to play it live and it will also change the overall sound of the pedal so, the best mod  you can actually do is to raise the output  with a booster placed at the end of the circuit...it's quite easy if you got a bit of DIY experience but there's no tutorial so I decided to make my own and share it!

STEP 1: Take the PCB apart, find where C12 is and remove it.

STEP 2: Build your favourite booster, I built a SHO clone on a stripboard, it's transparent it has a LOT of volume and few parts. The two wires are V+ and GND, while for the input and output I soldered two irong lugs so I can mount it directly on the PCB so it would be very stable and it won't rattle once you put the enclosure back on.
You don't need any GAIN control since it would be just before the VOLUME knob on the BB.

STEP 3: Connect the two wires to the DC socket pins on the back of the board.
Now you're ready to go and be careful, this thing now can destroy things!!

I'M ALIVE (+ a new page!)

It has been a while  (this time a long one) since I posted here the last time..there's no hobbies when you're goin' nuts for *ahem* other shitty reasons..
Anyway I started making pedals again and those are four of the many I got on my customer's list.
You can have more info on the "Custom Works" page as always!
I got a new section too, it's called repair/mods and you can easily guess what's inside!

The other two of the bunch!

Here are the other two pedals I made in a single run: The black one is a Ram's Head clone w/ tone bypass. Actually, I made two of those:  one is for Andrea and the other is for Francesco, both play guitar in a band called Architect of The Universe.
This one, instead, is an Atari Punk Console with a simple 4017-based step sequencer wich can do something similar to an arpeggiator. This one is still for Andrea from Architect of Universe.

More and moreagain!

I've been busy with a lot of stuff lately, those are two from a big chunk of pedals I've built in the past months.
A clone of the Tremulus Lune tremolo unit for Alessandro of Uncontrollable Urge..

..and the Gabodrive wich is an OCD clone built into an old EHX enclosure. This one belongs to Gabriele Fabbri (aka GaBo) from Nudist!

A new entry! The Turquoise Rush Delay!

So I finally did an analog delay, it's a clone of a boss DM-2/Aqua Puss, never built a delay before..it's so cool!
On a side note, this pedal has been made for Filippo Antonini wich already had his signature OD..he's one of the best session men in the country..

Just a little new dress!

Johnny from Headbangers is officially live-testing the once called "ULTRAFUZZ" so I decided to make a smarter dress for it and changed the name too...Lads and Gents the SONIC REDUCER!
